0x124 BSoD while updating to Windows 11(!)

Hi,

I am excited for Windows 11 release, I signed up to the insider programme today, Did a fresh install on a VMware VM, and tried upgrading. it first went to "Installing - 85%" and then BSoD'ed with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (0x124) and rebooted. I tried again, got the exact same error, this time at "Installing - 0%". Happened 3 more times.

My VM specs are->
4GB RAM
100GB Storage
UEFI Firmware

My PC Specs are->
8GB DDR4 RAM 2400mhz
1TB 5400 rpm SATA HDD
6th Generation Intel(R) Core(T M) i3-6006U Processor (3MB Cac he, 2.00 GHz)
14.0-inch HD (1366 x 768) Anti -Glare LED-Backlit Display

Plzzzz anybody help me... I really wanna run windows 11...

Welcome to use the windows 11, before we begin, you must know that Windows 11 is still being test for Compatibility and Stability. It is said to publish officially in late Q3.

First your laptop is a little bit outdated, though you might meet the given minimal hardware configuration, actually windows 11 doesn’t support all processor right now, but Microsoft is working on complying with more CPU on windows 11. You can check whether your CPU satisfy the requirement through the following link.

Secondly. 0x124 BSoD, this bug check indicates that a fatal hardware error has occurred. This bug check uses the error data that is provided by the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA).

Unfortunately, to upgrade to windows 11, the PC Health Check app is currently unavailable, you might as well use this tool to facilitate checking general compatibility in the following link.
