I was using the free learning materials for students and trying to set up a virtual machine for data science.
I received two errors: (1) Authentication error when I tried selecting the link given in the tutorial for the virtual machine option, (2) Nothing happened once I click 'Data Science Virtual Machine - Windows 2019'.
In addition, the tutorial says the virtual machine to be Windows 2016 instead of 2019 (which is the option given in the website).
Please advise what needs to be done on my part.

@Mandal, Saptarshi Which tutorial are you referring to? Is it part of official MS docs? Some courses and tutorials might refer to the 2016 version and the links might have changed. It is advisable to refer the official MS docs for DSVM and use the required version and platform.
Also, did you create a DSVM from the portal successfully? If the VM is created successfully the options to connect the VM are also available in the overview page of the resource in Azure portal. If you are using a free subscription and exhausted the $200 credit or 30 days then you might have to change to pay as you go option and then continue to create new resources from Azure portal.

When creating the virtual machine, search for "Data Science Virtual Machine" in the Azure marketplace:
The Windows Server 2016 operating system is very similar to Windows Server 2019, it might be that the learning material hasn't been updated to use the latest Windows Server version available, but you should be fine with a Windows Server 2019 Data Science Virtual Machine (DSVM).
