Assign Multiple Roles in Azure

Question

Under IAM I have assigned a user multiple roles. But when the user logs in and clicks on the subscription, next to My Role, only a single role is shown. Does that mean that a user will receive only one of the assigned roles?

No it does not mean that . The system shows only one role from the list of roles that are assigned to the user. It does not mean that the user will receive only one role. You can check the users role through portal using the Check Access section in Access Control (IAM) blade or powershell.
