I have a secondhand iMAC that has just been updated to OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6 (old, I know). I've attempted to install my Microsoft office from my subscription and am met with "This software requires macOS version 10.14.0 or later" which my iMAC wont support.
Is there a way that I am able to install an older compatible version of Microsoft?

John, I know this is an old thread but I am trying to install office on my old MacBook. I was able to download the program but it is having trouble when I log in. I get a blank white screen. Any ideas what to do next?

I was ablet o succesfully install it but can not seemt o "activate it" with my microsoft user name and PW.

I apoligise for joining an old thread, but I have a similar issue: As from today it appears that Macs running OS Monterey are no longer supported. My system will not upgrade any further and I need to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the office suite. Can this be done?
