SW_HIDE can't hide full screen window

Question

I have a window with

exStyle = 0;
style = WS_VISIBLE | WS_POPUP | WS_CLIPSIBLINGS | WS_CLIPCHILDREN;

and call ShowWindow(gameWindowHandle, SW_HIDE) not working
