Azure files "rich ACL's"

I am looking at Azure files to replace a server that acts as a file server for ~30 sites.

I find articles saying it's no good for environments that need 'rich ACL's' and am confused on how you set permissions in Azure files.

Can I move files to Azure files, give users access to SMB file shares and set permissions so that users get individual permissions set against their personal folders and sites get access to a shared site folder with a common site group?

I'm struggling to find a delete post option here as on reading more I now understand. If anyone stumbles across this post wondering if they can use Azure files to replace a file server - yes you can and forget that rich ACL's nonsense. Here's a good vid - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H04e9AgbcSc
