excel crashes / doesn't run w/WINDOWS 11 platform

Coworkers computer automatically updated to windows 11 and now Excel can't handle the most basic excel files much less files with formulas, links, etc. We have done the fixes listed that I can find. Is Microsoft going to fix this issue before windows 10 goes away? What is the fix if all other published fixes don't work
