Hi @Lethos ,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, thank you for posting your query here!
If you're experiencing issues with enabling change tracking with the Azure Monitor Agent (AMA) and it seems to be stuck, here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:
- Check the Deployment Status: Sometimes, the deployment status may show "Deployment in progress" even if it has been successfully provisioned. If the status indicates successful provisioning, you can safely ignore the message.
- Verify Extension Installation: Ensure that the necessary extensions for the AMA are installed correctly. You can check this in the Azure portal under the Extensions pane for your virtual machine. Look for the Azure Monitor Agent and Dependency Agent extensions.
- Review Logs: Check the extension logs located in
C:\\WindowsAzure\\Logs\\Plugins\\Microsoft.Azure.Monitor.AzureMonitorWindowsAgent\\<version>
for any errors that might indicate what went wrong during the deployment. - Network Requirements: Ensure that there are no network issues preventing the AMA from communicating with Azure services. Review the network requirements for the Azure Monitor Agent.
- Reboot the VM: If you haven't done so already, try rebooting the virtual machine to resolve any potential glitches or pending updates that might be affecting the deployment.
- Wait for Completion: Sometimes, the process can take longer than expected. If you just started the deployment, it might be worth waiting a bit longer.
