New phone - cannot link one authenticator to another

I bought a new phone over a year ago loaded the authenticator with all accounts but still cannot receive authentication codes when needed. It still goes to old phone. So inconvenient.

Can you try restoring from your backup? If this is done then you may need to update your security info

Log in to https://aka.ms/mysecurityinfo, click Add sign-in method and select Authenticator App to add.
