Azure Virtual machine still not working

Reaching out again, can someone please walk me step by step on what to do with virtual machine.

I go log in to remote desk top and i try to use microsoft edge and it immediately disconnects

Check VM Status

1. Go to Azure Portal → Virtual Machines. 2. Select your VM and verify if its status is Running. If not, start it.

Check Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) Settings

1. Ensure you are using the correct public/private IP to connect. 2. Verify that RDP (port 3389) is allowed in the VM’s Network Security Group (NSG). 3. Try another RDP client to check if the issue persists.

Check for Resource Utilization Issues

1. Open Azure Portal → Go to your VM → Metrics. 2. Check CPU and Memory usage—if they are too high, try restarting the VM.

Test Network Connectivity

1. Run ping <VM_IP> from your local machine. 2. Use telnet <VM_IP> 3389 to check if RDP is accessible.

Try Another User Account or Browser

If Edge causes disconnection, try logging in with a different user or launching another browser like Google Chrome or Firefox.

Check if your VM’s group policies or firewall settings are restricting access.
