Azure Basic to Standard SKU change

Azure Basic to Standard SKU changes.

I currently have a number of File shares setup in Azure and it looks like I do not need to implement these changes in this area.

However I do have a VnetPip and LicenseServer-ip when I search on Public IP Addresses.

My LicenseServer-ip has been changed to Standard SKU.

My VnetPip has a VnetGw associated to it with a Basic SKU to which I am not able to dissociate and change to Standard, should I be concerned about this or is it not a problem.

Comments please.

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A,

    If your VnetGw is currently using a Basic SKU Public IP, it will continue to function until September 30, 2025. However, post this date, the Basic SKU Public IPs will be retired, which will affect the connectivity of your VPN Gateway. So it's essential to upgrade the SKU from basic to standard for continued operation.

    March 31, 2025: Last day to create new Basic SKU Public IP addresses. After this date, creation of new Basic SKU Public IPs will be disabled.​

    September 30, 2025: Retirement date for Basic SKU Public IP addresses. After this date, existing Basic SKU Public IPs will cease to operate.
