I want to connect Power BI to SAP HANA system using ODBC connectivity. I have a Windows 11 running on Parallel Desktop. The SAP driver from the HANA Client is the latest and installation went fine. Though I got a system error 193 once I try to add the connector in the DSN User. Please advise.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A.

Based on the description, I understand your question is related to System error 193 when installing HDBODBC from SAP to connect PowerBI on SAP via ODBC.

The System Error 193 indicates that there is a problem with the driver architecture mismatch.

Check the architecture of the ODBC driver matches the architecture of the application you are using, a 64-bit version of Power BI need to use the 64-bit version of the SAP HANA ODBC driver.

Open the ODBC Data Source Administrator. There are two versions: one for 32-bit and one for 64-bit. Make sure you are using the correct version that matches your driver and application architecture.

Check the installation directory and ensuring that all necessary files for SAP HANA client and ODBC driver are present.

If you still have same issue after above methods, you might consult reach out to SAP support for further assistance.

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

    Molly
