Hi Community,

I stumbled upon a limit of 5 PiB per Storage Account, which can be extended by the Azure support. Is there a hard limit on how much it can be extended? If yes, what is the limit; if no, great.

Best regards,

Christian

    Hi Weiss Christian, BMW,

Thanks for reaching out on Q&A Forum

Yes 5 Pib is the default max capacity of the storage account.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/common/scalability-targets-standard-account?toc=%2Fazure%2Fstorage%2Fblobs%2Ftoc.json&bc=%2Fazure%2Fstorage%2Fblobs%2Fbreadcrumb%2Ftoc.json

This can only be reviewed by the capacity quoat team via a support request for further increase depending upon current workloads/expected capacity etc and then decide accordingly.
