After the forced update to Windows 11 24H2 (CPU14900k, GPU 4090, 128 GB RAM, 28TB SDD, 24 TB HD) on February 25, 2025, a "Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection" error has started occurring. This issue seems to be related to easyanticheat_eos.exe and easyanticheat.exewhich is required for the Epic Games launcher.

Previously, there were no problems with Windows Defender.

Google searching for a solution has not yielded precise results, and assistance is needed to understand and resolve this issue.

    Hello,

1、To confirm if this feature is causing the issue, you can temporarily disable it:

Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Windows Security > Device Security.

Under Core Isolation, click Core Isolation Details.

Toggle off Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection.

Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

2、Outdated or incompatible GPU drivers can cause kernel-mode errors:

    Open Device Manager (devmgmt.msc).

    Expand Display adapters.

Right-click your GPU (e.g., NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090) and select Update driver.

    Choose Search automatically for drivers.

If no updates are found, visit the NVIDIA Driver Download page to manually download and install the latest driver.

Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

    3、Reinstall the Game:

Uninstall the game from the Epic Games Launcher.

Reinstall it and check if the issue is resolved.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
