Clients are responsible for reporting back to WSUS. Run through my troubleshooting guide here.

    Hello,

    1. Verify Patch Synchronization

Ensure the patch is properly synchronized in WSUS:

    Open the WSUS Administration Console.

Navigate to Updates > All Updates.

Search for the February 2025 patch

Check the Approval column to ensure the patch is approved for the Test OU.

Check the Status column to confirm the patch is synchronized and available.

    1. Check Client Reporting

The Installed/Not Applicable column showing 0% indicates that clients are not reporting their status to WSUS. To resolve this:

    Step 1: Verify Client Connectivity

On a client machine in the Test OU, open Command Prompt as Administrator.

Run the following command to force a check-in with the WSUS server:

    wuauclt /detectnow

Wait a few minutes and check the WSUS console again.

    1. Verify Patch Approval

If the patch is approved but the status is not updating:

    Open the WSUS Administration Console.

Navigate to Updates > All Updates.

Locate the February 2025 patch and check its Approval and Status columns.

If the Status column shows "No Status," it means clients have not reported their status yet.

    Step 1: Force Client Reporting

On the client machine, open Command Prompt as Administrator.

Run the following commands to reset the Windows Update components:

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop bits

    ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

    net start wuauserv

    net start bits

    wuauclt /detectnow

Wait for the client to report its status to the WSUS server.

    1. Check WSUS Server Logs

If the issue persists, check the WSUS server logs for errors:

    Open the WSUS Administration Console.

Navigate to Options > Server Cleanup Wizard.

Run the cleanup wizard to remove obsolete updates and free up space.

Check the WSUS Application Log in the Event Viewer for errors or warnings.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
