Hi,

According to the information on: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/automation/automation-dsc-getting-started quote: "The Add, Compose configuration, and Gallery navigation links will be removed from the portal on March 31, 2025." Does this mean that after this date this functionality will be totally disabled or it will be still possible to use PowerShell/Azure CLI to enable Azure VMs for management with State Configuration?

    Hi @Jimmy

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform! Thank you for asking your question here.

Starting March 2025, the Azure portal will no longer have some links for managing State Configuration. But don't worry! You can still manage everything using PowerShell or Azure CLI. I suggest getting familiar with these tools now so you’re ready when the changes happen. This way, you’ll keep things working without any problems.

Automate your tasks using scripts in PowerShell or Azure CLI, as this will be the supported method going forward. Azure’s extensive automation and scripting support can handle most tasks efficiently.
