Unable to open Visual Design tools in SSMS with 'sa' logon.

In Object Explorer -- Right click on 'master' database icon and right click on individual table, no entry for Visual Design tools in either case.

I seem to have that option:

Then again, normally you don't put user tables in the master database.

I was expecting a graphical view of the design rather than a text view.

Could you show a screenshot of what you are seeing? This is what I see:

I would not call that a text view, but maybe you do?
