Windows Server 2016 essentials cannot resolve Active Directory domain names

Question

I am by no means a Windows Server expert. I have set up WSE2016 using the defaults and it is the only Domain manager in my home network. AD CS and AD DS are active. The Ethernet card on my computer gets its IP address from my DHCP server, 192.168.1.1, which is the primary Internet router. I have set the NIC to be all defaults of 'auto' except for the primary DNS which is set to 127.0.0.1 on IP4. I set a forwarder to 192.168.1.1.

I get the error message Windows Server 2016 essentials cannot resolve Active Directory domain names using the current DNS settings. My four computers all join the domain and the three Windows 10 computers all work fine, with backups and network folder shares. My Windows 11 machine can and will join the domain, but drops out and goes offline every single day. I restart the WSE2016 connector and it connects again, but for another day only. It presents the error message "DomainJoinStatusInfo" in WSE2016. This seems related.
