Not able to create new Azure Subscription

I have an active Azure account in which I had earlier created multiple Subscriptions. Now when I am trying to create new Subscription, I am getting the following error:

We’re unable to validate your phone number

Phone validation is required to confirm your identity and complete signup.

Reenter your SMS verification code, or try again with a different phone number.

I have updated my info repeatedly and also added another user as Global Admin to try the same. Tried changing the mobile numbers, etc. But nothing is working. I tried creating support ticket, but basic license doesn't provide realtime customer support. In short, MS Azure has made life difficult for something as simple as creating a new subscription.

Community, Azure Support,
Is there a way to get it fixed??

    Hi @Anant Agrawal ,

if you have problems with the phone validation in the Azure Account creation process please take a look here: Identity verification by phone

    Here are some additional information:

You can use any phone number for verification as long as it meets the requirements. The phone number that you enter for verification isn't stored as a contact number for the account.

    • A Voice-over-IP (VoiP) phone number can't be used for the phone verification process
    • Check that your phone can receive calls or SMS messages from a United States-based telephone number.
    • Double-check the phone number that you enter, including the country code that you select in the drop-down menu.
    • If your phone doesn't receive text messages (SMS), try the Call me option.

Source: No verification text message or phone call

Make sure to select the right country code in the drop-down and enter the phone number without the country code.

One option might be to call Microsoft's Global Support: Global Customer Service phone numbers

Maybe they are able to help.

I've noticed a couple of questions/threads related to this issue in the past. But none of them gave an answer how to fix this or if it was fixed at all.
