Hello @Tom grasso ,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform.
I understand that you want to close your Microsoft account.
Closing your Microsoft account means you will no longer be able to sign in to any Microsoft products or services, such as Outlook.com, Hotmail, OneDrive, Xbox, Skype, Office, or Microsoft 365. You will also lose access to Microsoft Rewards, Microsoft Certification. You will also lose access to any saved BitLocker recovery keys.
Before doing this, I would recommend reviewing the pre-checklist first. Make sure to back up any important data you want to preserve and remove any associated users and subscriptions. Closing your Microsoft account will permanently delete all information linked to it, including subscriptions, licenses, payment methods, Outlook emails, OneDrive files, users, and user data.
To close the account, you can follow the instructions for How to close your Microsoft account:
- Go to Close your account and follow the instructions to sign in.
- Check that the page shows the Microsoft account you want to close, then click Next.
- Read the list, and click the checkboxes to acknowledge you’ve read each item.
- In the Select a reason drop-down list, choose the reason you're closing the account.
- Click Mark account for closure.
I hope this clarifies things. Please contact us if you have any additional questions.
