SQL Server Management Studio 18 Closes with a Worning Sound After Splash Screen

When I launch SQL Server Management Studio 18, the splash screen appears, but then it closes with a warning sound without any error messages. I get the same issue when i try to run it as an administrator. Can you help me? I'm using Windows 10 Pro and running SQL Server Management Studio 18 in Windows 8 compatibility mode.

    I would suggest that you install SSMS 20.2, which is the most recent version of SSMS.

    If you for some reason want to keep SSMS 18, don't run it in Windows 8 compatibility mode.

    Hi @Özge Doğan

    Right-click on the ssms.exe --> Select Properties --> Go to the Compatibility tab.

    Uncheck the option: "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and apply the changes.

    Try launching SSMS again.

    Reinstall SSMS if not work.
