Can I specify a public IP address in Hong Kong when creating a NIC for use with Azure VM?

I Hope the Answer provided by TP was useful,

I would like to suggest other ways also to designate a public IP address in Hong Kong while establishing a Network Interface Card (NIC) for an Azure Virtual Machine (VM).

Public IP addresses are associated to the network interfaces that are attached to a VM. the VM has only one network interface. If the VM had multiple network interfaces, they would all appear, and you'd select the network interface you want to associate the public IP address.

The public IP addresses that appear in the drop-down list are those that exist in the same region as the VM. If you have multiple public IP addresses created in the region, all will appear here. Any address that's already associated to a different resource is grayed out.

Hi Lewis,

You may create your VM and its public IP address in East Asia Azure region and ip geolocation providers will likely show it as Hong Kong, since that is where the region is located. That has been my experience, however, there are many different IP geolocation databases so results may differ.
