Hello Abhishek ,
If you accidentally deleted your data and need to restore an old backup for Microsoft Authenticator, follow these steps:
Restore Microsoft Authenticator Backup
Prerequisites:
You must have Cloud Backup enabled on your previous device (either on iCloud for iOS or Google Drive for Android).
You must sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the backup.
Steps to Restore on a New or Reset Device:
- Install Microsoft Authenticator from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Open the app and select "Restore from Backup" when prompted.
- Sign in with your Microsoft account that was used to back up the authenticator data.
- The app will retrieve your saved accounts and restore them.
If You Don't See a Backup:
- Make sure you used the correct Microsoft account for backup.
- Check if backups were enabled before data deletion.
If Backup Was Not Enabled:
- Unfortunately, Microsoft does not store your Authenticator data unless cloud backup was turned on.
- You may need to manually reconfigure your accounts by reaching out to each service provider for account recovery.
