Hello,

with a clean install of Windows 11 24h2 Edge IE Compatibility mode is no longer working on Sandbox.

Below is the message when i try to open a web page in Edge IE Compatibility mode on the Sandbox:

User's image

In Windows 11 24h2 looks like that the internet explorer 11 feature cannot be installed via the "Windows Features panel" but it is shown in the "Optional Features". However in the Sandbox i cannot access the "Optional Features" in the main menu (seems hidden), so i can't try to add or remove the "Internet Explorer Mode" like is show in the following image (taken outside the Sandbox):

I also tried to install the Internet Explorer Feature via DISM with offline .cab file, the installation completes without any errors but the result is the same.

With Windows 10 22h2 the feature was working fine even on the Sandbox.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

    Hi,

Windows Sandbox is a minimal environment primarily for testing applications. I don't believe IE mode is intended to would work with the same. Did it work in 23H2?
