Creating an Azure Free Account: We’re unable to validate your phone number
Good day!
I am from the Philippines and I am trying to create a free Azure Account, but I'm faced with the problem: "We’re unable to validate your phone number."
I have already tried going to the Help + support to submit a ticket, but it seems that I have the same exact problem as this forum: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1431080/we-re-unable-to-validate-your-phone-number
To recap:
- I went to https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/purchase-options/azure-account?icid=portal and clicked on "Try Azure for free"
- Upon entering my information and my phone number, I'm faced with the prompt "We’re unable to validate your phone number."
- I tried logging in through (1) laptop, (2) phone connected to wifi, and (3) phone connected to 5G as other members have suggested to the linked forum. This includes using a different browser overall and using private/incognito windows.
- With no success, I contacted Microsoft support through live chat, and was led to Azure Help + support.
- Unfortunately, I also faced a ticket saying:
"® Experiencing authentication issues The portal is having issues getting an authentication
token. The experience rendered may be degraded.
Additional information from the call to get a token:
Extension: Microsoft_Azure_Support
Resource: self Details: The logged in user is not authorized to fetch tokens for extension 'Microsoft_Azure_Support'..."
