emails lost after re-building the library (MS Outlook): how to recover them?

I rebuilt the library on Outlook (MacOS) and all email messages older than June 2024 disappeared from my Inbox and from my outbox. I guess that they have not been indexed, but they are still somewhere in the memory of my computer. How can I recover them?

    Hi @MARIASILVIA GIAMBERINI

    Welcome to our forum!

Here are some steps you may take:

    1. Check Outlook Web App (OWA): Log in to the Outlook for Web with your account to see if the missing emails are visible there. Sometimes, emails might still be accessible through the web interface.
    2. Recover Deleted Items: If the emails were accidentally deleted, you can try recovering them from the Deleted Items folder. In the Outlook Web App, you can find the "Recover Deleted Items" button in the Deleted Items folder.
    3. Check Other Folders: Sometimes emails might be moved to other folders like Archive, Junk, or other custom folders. Use the search function in Outlook to look for specific emails or keywords.
    4. Re-add Your Account: Remove and re-add your email account in Outlook. This can sometimes resolve sync issues and bring back missing emails.

    Hope it helps!
