I no longer use Azure and its services.
I have deleted my subscription.
I want to remove my CC from sitting on Azure.
When I go to detach, I cannot remove my payment method.
I do not like how this functionality prevents a customer from removing their payment method.
I don’t want to wait for the billing cycle to end; I want to remove my payment method now.
This is my card is being held hostage.
Now I need to keep checking on this, until next billing cycle to try again?
This is a poor customer experience.
There needs to be a way for customers to zero out their balances and remove their CCs without having to wait.
Because of this, I have lost trust in Azure and will be cautious about using or recommending Azure as a solution in the future ("be carful they will hold your cc hostage and they make it difficult for you to remove it once you put it in...")
Please detach my CC.

the best option is to open a support request with Azure Support:

Azure Billing and Subscription support is offered by Microsoft by no cost and it's for free.

Hi Andreas, something is strange as I cannot see what you are seeing, or the option to open a support ticket. When I click on Support and Troubleshooting it spawns the Support AI Assistant who proceeds to say its temporarily unavailable. When I click on "go to support and troubleshooting" I go into an endless phone tree with still no ability to open a ticket. Can you help spool up a ticket for me?

in Azure Portal search for Help + Support and click on Create a support request.
On the right side panel scroll down to the end and select Contact support

Hi Andreas, that is the problem, we are not seeing the same workflow.
I can get to Help + Support just like you mention:
But when I click on Create a support request I get something different - I get a support AI Assistant (preview) that spools up on the right hand column:
The only option I have now is to go the "Support + Troubleshooting" link which I did already and it was not helpful. So at this point I am blocked and have no way to ask for help and open a ticket for my issue.

What happens if you click on the cross to close the Support AI Assistant?
Or if you click on Support + troubleshoot link in the section?
