Unexpected charge for a free service. None customer service can be found to deal with this issue!!!

I have used the free trial service for a few days and stopped use it for more than a month. However, just received a bill which indicated a huge amount of charge for the last month that the period I did not used at all. No customer service regarding this issue can be found. No one who can deal with this issue can be contacted. Hope the customer service staff can contact me as soon as possible.

You can create a (free) support request with the Azure subscription support team by selecting Subscription Management as the issue type.

I attempted to create a support request, but I couldn't find an option that fits my specific situation. The available options seem to only lead me to a refund process (up to $250) or to several links that do not address my issue.I am not looking for a refund; rather, my concern is regarding the wrong billing for the period I did not use. The support page doesn't provide a clear path to address this, and I’m unable to proceed with submitting my request.

Could you please guide me on how to submit a support request regarding this issue?

Additionally, I reached out to Microsoft support by phone, and while the staff were polite and nice, they informed me that they could only assist with issues related to home users, not businesses. Even though my Azure account is a free trial and I have not used it for any business activities, it seems that Azure is still categorized as a business product, and the support centre couldn't resolve my issue.

Note that regardless of license type (including free trial), Azure will show the cost of the services used. The free trial provides a dollar amount limit (varies by region, but I believe it's $200 in the USA). Also, many free services have a monthly limit on how much of it is free. For example, if you use a free service, then exceed the free limit of that service, the additional usage cost would be calculated, then subtracted from the $200 free credit provided. The cost would be visible in the reports so you can get an idea of how much it would cost you without the free credit.

Without seeing your bill/reports we can only speculate, and you don't want to share that information on a public forum. As others have mentioned, you will want to reach out the Azure Billing team. One way to do this is to;

log into the Azure Portal: https://portal.azure.com/

Select the three lines in the top left corner of the page and select Cost management + Billing

On the left side panel, expand the "Support + troubleshooting" section and select "New support request".

Set the issue type to "Billing" and select your subscription and fill in the details of your issue.

I had to go through a similar process a couple years ago when someone abused a demo I built and created a ton of charges for me. The Azure billing team was good at helping me get things resolved.

Out of curiosity, where you use "Azure Maps" the geospatial service which you tagged this thread with, or some other Azure service? Either way we still want to ensure you get the assistance you need, but if needed, would update the tag to one that's more appropriate.
