Can you try logging out from the Excel app and trying to sign in again?
If this doesn't help, then try uninstalling office apps, including Excel, and installing them again.
This should resolve the issue.

Excel won't open on my MAC. System message says it's because it is being updated, but it's been saying that for a few hours. I'm on the latest version of Sequoia 15.3. Latest date modified for EXCEL is 12/11/24; for WORD last date modified is 2/4/25, and for PP last date modified is 1/29/25. I have restarted my MAC, reinstalled Sequoia, and now I need some help.
