When connecting a new monitor to my dual monitor docking station, my original monitors resolution cannot be adjusted appropriately

I recently upgraded one of my monitors to an LG Ultrafine monitor. I have a second monitor, ONN 32in monitor as my other monitor. These are both connected to a docking station. The ONN monitor is an HD 1080p 1920 x 1080 resolution. However, when i connected the new LG monitor, the ONN monitor looks zoomed in and the resolution settings are extremely limited and the max resolution I can go is 1280 x 800. I have tried updating display adapter drivers, and nothing seems to work. Kind of lost on what to do.

    Hi Owen Salmon,

Thanks for your post. Please adjust the session in the device manager at first.

Method 1. Set the graphics card.

Right-click on the start menu and go to Device Manager. Click (>) Display adapters to expand the session. Inform the exact model of the graphics card. On the monitor where you can change the resolution and refresh rate, try lowering the refresh rate. Now check if it is possible to change the resolution of the other monitor.

Method 2.Clean install of the NVIDIA drivers. For Example. If you are using the NVIDIA card. Download and run the latest driver package for your video card:https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.a... Follow the onscreen instructions until you get the Installation Options window. Select the Custom (Advanced) box and press Next. On the next screen, you will be able to choose the components to install (all should be checked by default and if you're not sure, leave them that way). In the Select driver component table, check the Perform a clean installation box and click Next. After clean installation of NVIDIA drivers, turn off the PC. Disconnect both monitors from the PC. First connect the monitor you want to be the main one and turn on the PC. After login, connect the second monitor.

    Best Regards,

    Ian Xue
