I need assistance connecting my VM to run Kali Linux. I have created the VM, but I am unable to start the machine as the start button is grayed out. I believe I have followed all the necessary steps correctly. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you. Azure linux help

    Hi Mark,

Based on your screenshot, the VM is already running, which is why the Start button is disabled (grayed out). Is there some other issue you are seeing?

Have you tried connecting to the console by clicking on Help -- Serial console blade on the left?

Serial console link on left menu

Please click Accept Answer and upvote if the above was helpful.

    Thanks.

    Hi mark esposito,

In addition to TP, please try below steps:

Since your VM has a Public IP address: 20.106.187.66, you can use SSH to connect: Please refer to this: Connect to the VM

If SSH is blocked, and you have Azure Bastion configured, you can connect via the Connect button in the Azure portal. Please refer to Create an SSH connection to a Linux VM using Azure Bastion

Check the Inbound rules in Networking section, see that port 22 is open.
