I have a hyper-v virtual machine divided into 2 drives (1 drive C for Windows and 1 drive D for data). While I was merging the check point, I deleted the hyper-v server. How can I get back the AVHDX files to merge data?

    Hi Hung Nguyen Phi,

Thanks for your post. Please try using the following steps to merge avhdx as vhdx and see if it works.

    1. Locate to the checkpoint and there should one checkpoint:
    2. Click "Edit Disk":
    3. Choose the .avhdx file and select merge.
    4. Merge it into parent .vhdx file.
    5. Add a new virtual machine and link the .vhdx and see if it can boot.

    Best Regards,

    Ian Xue
