Redirect the serial port between 2 Windows 11 Pro VMs using RDP client

Hi

I have 2 Windows 11 Pro VMs installed in VMware ESXi. One of the VMs has access to the physical serial port. I want to remotely connect with RDP client from this VM to the other one and redirect the serial port to the second VM. In both VMs I have disabled in local group policies the "Do not allow COM port redirection" option and in RDP client I have checked the port option in Local Resources. Still, in the second VM I cannot see in the device manager the redirected COM port. What is wrong with this setup ?

Hello,

You can try with another device. Meanwhile, update your driver to the latest version.

You can also open mstsc -> show options - > Local Resources to check your devcie(if it is unchecked)
