Unable to enable Azure Disk Encryption for VM using SSE/PMK with ADE

Can someone help in figuring out this error that i am getting while deploying Azure disk encryption for VM and how to fix it.

detailed steps would be much appreciated.

Error : The resource write operation failed to complete successfully, because it reached terminal provisioning state 'Failed'.

Can you share some more info so I can gain a better understanding of your issue?

Was your VM previously encrypted with Azure Disk Encryption?

Can you share a screenshot of your VM's Disk blade?

Meanwhile I would recommend you check the below troubleshoot steps:

The VM you are attempting to encrypt should be supported VM sizes, operating systems and no restrictions with the group policy requirements.

Please check that the Key Vault should be in the same region, subscription as the Virtual Machine and access policies in the Key Vault are set to allow Azure Disk Encryption.

Hello Mahesh, issue still persist evn after following the given steps . after opening case with microsoft it was found that the memeory and CPU utilization of the VM was over 100 % due to which the disk encryption deployment was timing out and also there was no data disk attached to my VM. Currently we are in middle of deploying a new VM (Generataion 1) with minimum 2GB Storage and running on windows 8 or above. Will share the outcome with steps on this forum soon
