    Hi @Boddu, Naga

Thanks for the Question and using Microsoft Q&A.

As per my understanding, you have a need to create Azure SQL DB with 5 TB intial storage and it will grow 1TB per each year.

Based on your requirement of 5 TB initial storage and a growth rate of 1 TB per year, I recommend choosing the Azure SQL Database Hyperscale service tier.

Here are some key points about the Hyperscale service tier:

Scalability: Hyperscale provides independently scalable compute and storage, which means you can easily scale up or down based on your needs.

Storage Capacity: It supports up to 128 TB of storage per database, making it ideal for your growing storage needs.

Performance: Hyperscale offers high performance with fast database backups and restores, and it can handle heavy workloads efficiently.

Cost-Effectiveness: With its flexible pricing model, you only pay for the storage capacity you use, which can be more cost-effective in the long run.

Please go through this Documentation that might help you: Hyperscale pricing model.

In addition to the Hyperscale flavor of Azure SQL you have the option to use Azure SQL Managed Instance that supports up to 16 TB. Azure SQL Managed Instance might be more cost-effective due to its simpler pricing model and the fact that it's optimized for mid-sized databases.
