I am on Visual Studio Enterprise subscription and created compute instances requesting GPU.
However I notice that when compute is created it shows low hourly runtime costs 0.32/ hr as opposed to higher hourly rates on the create compute ui.
I created multiple computes with different gpu vm instances and all of them were created with 0.32/hr
I tested my training script and time to complete training indicates that it is indeed running on cpu.
How do i get gpu compute instances ?

With your subscription, you tried to create GPU based VMs but ended up with instances running with CPU based SKUs. It may be limited due to:
- Sometimes, if there is a high demand for these graphics-enabled VM types, availability is limited in certain regions and for customers with your subscription type.
- Azure can impose quota limits typically lower to minimize the risk of spinning up expensive resources.
- Before creating, check appropriate GPU based VM is selected during creation.
To create GPU based VMs, try in different regions with a quota increase through Azure support or upgrade your subscription.
