How to get a refund for an azure database that I mistakenly raised to a higher tier

I am a student using your Microsoft tools to learn how to program. When creating a new database, I accidentally used a higher tier. I had no benefit or gain from the upgrade. I would like a refund as this was a complete mistake but microsoft is refusing to refund me for this. can you please help?
