Potential Impact on Existing ExpressRoute Availability When Setting Up New ExpressRoute at Same Peering Location

We currently have an ExpressRoute set up with the peering location in Montreal and resources in Canada East.

We are planning to set up a new ExpressRoute using the same peering location for use in Canada Central. (Keeping the old one)

Our ISP (RISQ) is concerned that this could lead to potential downtime in the existing ExpressRoute, during their configuration on their end.

Could creating a new ExpressRoute at the same peering location affect the availability of the existing one?

Establishing a new ExpressRoute at the same peering location typically does not impact the availability of the existing one. However, it is crucial to coordinate with your ISP to ensure their configuration changes do not unintentionally affect the current setup.
