Azure Synapse account creation email conflict

Hi all. I tried creating a synapse account using my work email, but I suspect it was blocked by a firewall. I then tried using my gmail account and while that works, I am not eligible for the free account. I suspect the IP is causing the 2 accounts to somehow be linked in Synapses mind? If that makes sense. So when logging in using the work email address I get the second screenshot error and when logging in with the gmail account I get routed to this. After picking the first option, and even trying to add banking details, I get told my account is not eligible. User's image

    Hello @Jessie Rudd ,

Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Q&A.

Based on your second screenshot, it seems that your sign-in was successful, but you're unable to access the resource. This is likely because when you're trying to log in using your work email, access is being blocked. This error typically occurs when an administrator has configured conditional access settings for the account in the Azure Portal. To identify the specific conditional access settings, you need to log in to the Azure Portal (https://portal.azure.com) with your work account to view and adjust them by checking the sign in logs for the particular user to know which Conditional Access is blocking. It's recommended that you contact your administrator to review and make the user to access the application.

To review the sign in logs you follow: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/conditional-access/troubleshoot-conditional-access?toc=%2Fentra%2Fidentity%2Fmonitoring-health%2Ftoc.json&bc=%2Fentra%2Fidentity%2Fmonitoring-health%2Fbreadcrumb%2FTOC.json#microsoft-entra-sign-in-events

Additionally If you click "more details in the second screenshot" you posted, it will give a possible reason (location, device or conditon).

you can check the following document: Troubleshooting sign-in problems with Conditional Access

Regarding the issue with your Gmail account, it seems that your account is not eligible. It's possible that you've previously used the free trial with this Gmail address.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.
