So, i had been using my laptop with an external monitor for about 2 years now . suddenly last week my laptop stopped detecting that it was connected to ext monitor. i tried a different monitor and still it dint work , all monitors kept going into stand by mode as they were not receiving signal.

its not a monitor or a cable problem as i tried a different laptop with the same monitor and it worked fine . the cable to worked fine. (i use usb c for connecting but HDMI also showed no fix to this )

i tried the usual solution that i found online that were : clean the port , reinstall graphics driver from device manager .

the external monitor is not showing up in the settings or device manager , but when the cable is connected the sound that something is connected can be heard .

I'm positive its not my usb port that's faulty ,as my speakers work fine when connected to the same port .

My laptop is a Lenovo ideapad 7i pro , running with a intel i7 and integrated graphics.

is there any solution to this ?, as the Lenovo support service center refused to take it in as the laptop was bought from a different country(Canada)

Run Lenovo Diagnostics for Windows - Desktops, Notebooks, Workstations

If neither USB-C nor HDMI works directly, try a USB to HDMI adapter or docking station with DisplayLink drivers. This can bypass potential port issues.

You may diagnose the system to a computer servicing centre.
