We have received a service alert from Microsoft regarding upcoming maintenance:

Maintenance Details:

The maintenance will affect virtual machines in East US.

Schedule: From 24 February 2025, 07:30 UTC, to 28 February 2025, 07:30 UTC.

During this window, IaaS virtual machines will be migrated to newer network hardware.

Each virtual machine may experience up to 15 minutes of unavailability.

Important Note: Operating system and data disks will be retained, but temporary disks will be reset.

Issue Observed:

Microsoft mentioned that an email with the list of affected virtual machines would be sent to subscription administrator accounts. However:

No email has been received regarding this maintenance.

The maintenance alert is visible in the Azure portal, but we cannot see the impacted resources under the Resources tab.

Request for Assistance:

Could you please help us proceed with identifying the impacted resources and ensure that notifications are properly delivered to the administrator accounts? Let us know if additional steps are required on our end.

Azure Service Health has a dedicated tab for Planned Maintenance where all Azure services (for example, Virtual Machines) publish their upcoming Maintenance events.

Virtual Machine related Maintenance notifications are available under Service Health in the Azure portal. For some specific Virtual Machine Planned Maintenance scenarios, Azure might communicate the schedule by sending an additional email (besides Service Health) to the Subscription Classic Admin, Co-Admin, and Subscription Owners group. Ask them to check their inboxes/spam folders for emails from Microsoft Azure.

Azure Service Health enables users to configure their own custom Service Health alerts for the Planned Maintenance category. If you see the maintenance event, but no email was received: Click Create Service Health Alert to configure proper email notifications. To ensure you receive these notifications, it's recommended to configure Activity Log Alerts. For more information, see Create activity log alerts on service notifications.

Identifying the impacted resource:

In the Azure portal, the Impacted Resources tab under Service Health > Planned maintenance displays resources that are affected by a planned maintenance event. The following example shows a planned maintenance event with impacted resources.
