Hello
Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.
Here are a few steps you can:
- Disable Auto Arrange and Align to Grid:
• Right-click on the desktop.
• Select View.
• Ensure Auto arrange icons and Align icons to grid are unchecked.
- Adjust Display Settings:
• Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
• Ensure that the scaling and resolution settings are appropriate for both monitors. Sometimes, mismatched settings can cause icons to rearrange.
- Registry Edit (Advanced):
• Open the Registry Editor (press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter).
• Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\1\Desktop.
• Right-click on the Desktop key and select Export to back it up.
• Delete the Desktop key.
• Restart your computer. This will reset the desktop icon layout settings.
I hope the information above is helpful.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.
Best Regards,
Daisy Zhou
