Hi Austin,
We don't see any issue regarding the use case you described. Do you see the problem on PowerBI desktop or PowerBI service or both? If possible, can you share some sample report with us? Thank you very much!

I have created a report of my area of work and each building has a RAG assigned to it. The idea is you click the RAG slicer and the map will reflect that colour and show show what those buildings are.
I did have this working but it has suddenly stopped. If i remake it it works but i am concerned that is a temporary solution. Is there a fix around this?

For issues with Azure Maps in Power BI, please ask in the Power BI Forum. It may be related to RAG and not the Map like this post https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/RAG-Status-in-Power-BI/td-p/3724648. The Power BI forums cover all parts of Power BI, including the Maps control within Power BI.
If compiling the report impacts the behavior, I believe that points to a construction withing the Power BI report generator and not the map control. If you can reproduce the issue outside of Power BI then we, Azure Maps Team, can help.
