hello, i am an student how was trying to download visual studio 2022 with version 17.7.4 but i am not able to solve that problem i try through catalog downloading and the try to implement that catalog version into installer terminal but it didn't work out. I also try offline layout installer option but it also didn't workout for me so i request to visual studio problem me some source to download 17.7.4 version in easier way.
Why not the latest Community version from the official Web page?

The Visual Studio Community edition is supported only on the Current Channel, which means only the latest version is supported or available for downloading(kindly see this document: Community edition support for details).
Changing the catalog doesn’t work, as the previous version of Visual Studio 2022 Community is not available(for downloading).
It’s recommended to use the latest version of Visual Studio 2022 Community for learning purpose. If you have some particular reasons and have to use the 17.7.4 version of Visual Studio 2022, do you consider using Visual Studio 2022 Professional(17.7.4) or Visual Studio 2022 Enterprise(17.7.4)? They are available here: Fixed version bootstrappers. By the way, you can evaluate a free trial of VS Professional or VS Enterprise for 30 days and sign in to extend the trial period to 90 days(Extend a trial version or update a license).

i am a student and have the same problem... i can't buy any thing that my college do not refers me to do so.. can you help we that problem as well if i can't download version 17.7.4 than can i get version 17.9.6 because i need xamarin to do my projects and xamarin does not work on latest version and i have big projects to do through xamarin....

The document has clearly described that only the latest version of VS Community is supported. So 17.9.6(Community edition) is also not available.
I notice that you mentioned that Xamarin does not work on the latest version, are you sure?
Though it is out of support, the components can still be installed on VS 2022 Community(17.12.4) and based on my quick test, I can still create a new Xamarin corresponding project and build it. See following screenshots:
Did you forget to install that "Xamarin" component?
