Hello

Please i need your help on this issue.

I seem to have a problem relating to moving domain associated with my license from kodoXXXX.com to fenixXXXX.se.

I have, as part of this move, changed my primary e-mail from fenix@kodoXXXX.com to fb@fenixXXXX.se. Although, in the future, I will only use fb@fenixXXXX.com I need to, at the present period, be able to receive and send e-mail using fenix@kodoXXXX.com.

fenix@kodoXXXXX.com is now hosted by one.com. I can send e-mails from fenix@kodoXXXXX.com. I also receive e-mails, but NOT from fb@fenixXXXXX.se. I receive e-mails from others, and also from myself (i.e. fenix@kodoXXXXX.com) but what doesn’t work is sending from fb@fenixXXXXX.se to fenix@kodoXXXXX.com.

I had a similar problem a few years ago. I don't remember how it was resolved but I remember the problem: Could it be that, because fenix@kodoXXXXX.com was previously hosted by Microsoft (i.e. mailbox was on "your adress") when I send e-mails from another e-mail also on your adress it discovers the "old" mailbox for kodoXXXXX on your servers instead of on one.com's servers and send the mail there - whereby I don't receive it?

I use to get quite a few e-mail and now I'm only getting 1-2 per week, so something is definately wrong and I would like to resolve it.

Below is the error message. Might it be that it’s looking for the receiving address within the MS context rather than leaving the servers and looking outside?

I opened the NDR, pressed “Send again” and got the error message

After sending it, I received the same error message as before. NOTE: This time I added my private e-mail as recipient and received the e-mail to my private e-mail, but not the kodoXXXX.com email..

I changed the domain for the business license from kodoXXXXX.com to feniZXXXXX.se?

This seem to be relevant if MS was supposed to host the e-mail for kodoXXXX.com but now it’s the opposite. MS hosted it, and is now supposed to stop hosting it.

I receive some e-mails but not the ones sent from an MS server, as it seems. How do we make sure I can now receive my e-mails via one.com instead?

    Hello, @IniobongNkanga-8038,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform!

According to your description, there's a misconfiguration issue resulting from the transition of your email hosting provider.

The email issue might be due to DNS propagation delays or cached DNS records. When you change your email hosting provider, it can take some time for the DNS changes to fully propagate, causing emails to be routed to the old server temporarily. To resolve this, check the DNS settings for your domain and ensure that the MX records are correctly pointing to one.com. Additionally, clear the DNS cache on your email client and server. Make sure to verify your SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records to prevent delivery issues.

Another possibility is that Microsoft's servers might still have cached records pointing to the old mailbox. Contact Microsoft support to ensure that all records for your old domain have been removed from their servers. Also, verify that there are no forwarding rules set up on your old Microsoft-hosted mailbox that might be causing emails to be redirected incorrectly. Ensure there are no old email client configurations pointing to the former Microsoft server. Check Junk or Spam folders to confirm emails aren't being mistakenly flagged.

Should you need more help on this, you can feel free to post back.
