Hello - I can no longer see the initials of people who are in a shared excel file in the upper right hand corner. Other users can see MY initials when I'm in the file, but I can't see theirs. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi @Dee Cee

According to your case description, you encountered a temporary problem, which may be caused by sharing settings or cache issues. Please try the following possible solutions:

    Check the sharing settings:

    • Open the Excel file that needs to be shared.
    • Select the "Review" option in the menu bar.
    • Click "Share Workbook".
    • Make sure the "Allow multiple people to edit at the same time" option is enabled.

    Clear Excel's cache:

    • Close all Excel files.
    • Open Excel, click "File" > "Options" > "Advanced".
    • In the "Display" section, uncheck the "Show other users' initials" option and then recheck it.
    • Close Excel and reopen the file.
    • Or try to refresh the document manually: Go to the "Data" tab and click "Refresh All"

Check the network connection or update Excel:

Make sure your network connection is normal and that your Excel is updated to the latest version.

    Check the file properties:

The file property settings may affect the sharing function. Right-click the file, select "Properties", and make sure it is not set to read-only.
