Export shapes in .shp, .kml, and GeoJSON formats

Hi,

We have plotted postal code boundaries on the map using Bing map and have a requirement to export them in .shp, .kml, and GeoJSON formats. Is there a way to export shapes in the mentioned formats using Bing Maps? If so, could you please provide any sample code or guidance?

Hi Balasaheb,

Storing Polygons that were returned by Bing Maps is against TOU. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/maps/bing-maps/product/https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/maps/bing-maps/product/ If these are your polygons and you already have them in a file you should be able to find a converter to move between file types. QGIS comes to mind as an option.

Thank you for your response. Let me explain in detail. We plan to draw polygons on the map using a drawing tool and would like the ability to export them in .shp, .kml, or GeoJSON formats.

If you are using the Bing Maps drawing manager, you can iterate through the collection and store them in whichever format you want to write out. See https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/bingmaps/v8-web-control/modules/drawing-tools-module/ at the bottom there is a sample to iterate through the shapes.
