My Azure tenant has disappeared

Helllo,

Without any changes to my account, I have lost access to my Azure tenant directory. Where before I had both a default directory and a directory for my business, the business directory is no longer visible.

If I search for the business name in the search bar, I can access the Entra and Entra-Identity services, but everything is readonly.

The business subscription is still active, as I'm still being billed (and can see the invoices).

Thanks,
Rich

    Hello @Rich Lucas,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

We understand that you have two directories, the default one and the business directory but unfortunately, you have lost access to your business directory without making any changes. Also, the business directory is no longer visible but if you still have read-only access to the Entra and Entra-Identity services related to the business directory.

After reviewing the situation, I would like to suggest a few troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:

    1. Lack of sufficient permissions might be causing this issue. Could you please check if the necessary permissions are provided to the account with which you are trying to access.

There might be a chance that the user account in the other directory has been deleted, or changes are made to that account resulting in the loss of access to that account.

    1. Also, there is one other scenario where this can happen. If your user account at any point was deleted and re-created after the invitation to join the other tenant was sent and redeemed, the link between the tenant and the user object could be broken, and your current user object (used to access the portal through the direct link) could be different from the initial one that was invited. In this case the solution would be to remove and reinvite your user account.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions further.

    Thanks & Best Regards,

    Janaki Kota
