How to apply student subscription - Good standing

I tried to create a student subscription on Azure for educational purposes. After completing the process of verifying my educational institution, I encountered an issue stating that I was "not eligible for a student subscription." After reading other threads on MSDN, I attempted to change the email in my Azure account to my educational email, but then I started encountering the error described in the title.

I also read that the specified payment method, if it is invalid (expired), might affect the account's reputation. After removing the payment method, I still receive the same error.

Additionally, I noticed that a long time ago, I used a free credit that has since expired. The message also states that I need to update my subscription to continue using my account properly.

When I try to update my Azure account, I receive the following error

I’m not sure if these issues are connected, but I suspect they might be.

    Hello Jeffrey Willis,

    Thanks for your question

To resolve this issue, double-check whether the following items are true:

    • The information that you provided for your Azure account profile (including contact email address, street address, and telephone number) is correct.
    • The credit card information is correct.
    • You don't already have a Microsoft account that uses the same information.

The above is is cited from: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/troubleshoot-subscription/troubleshoot-azure-sign-up#you-see-the-message-you-are-not-eligible-for-an-azure-subscription

You can mark it 'Accept Answer' and 'Upvote' if this helped you

    Regards,

    Abiola
