Hello Daria,
Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.
I checked it on two different win 11 client machines in my lab below, is it the same as you?
If it is different, please try:
- Restart Windows Explorer:
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc
to open Task Manager.
Find and right-click on "Windows Explorer" in the list.
Select "Restart". This will refresh the File Explorer without requiring a full reboot.
- Check for Updates:
Go to Settings
> Windows Update
and check for any new updates that might address this issue.
- Adjust Display Settings:
Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings
.
Make sure your scaling and resolution settings are appropriate for your monitor and not causing display issues.
- Reset File Explorer Options:
Open File Explorer and click on the three dots in the top right corner.
Select Options
.
In the Folder Options dialog, go to the View
tab and click Reset Folders
.
- Run System File Checker (SFC):
Open Command Prompt as administrator (right-click Start menu and select Command Prompt (Admin)
or Windows PowerShell (Admin)
).
Type sfc /scannow
and press Enter.
Let the scan complete and follow any on-screen instructions if issues are found.
If it is the same, I think it is by design, I suggest you can feedback it via Feedback Hub on one Win 11 client machine.
I hope the information above is helpful.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.
Best Regards,
Daisy Zhou
